RP - A Night at the Museum

[ 2014.10.25 00:06:54 ] EVE System > Channel MOTD: All Capsuleer guests will land at the Old Star Port.The Old Star Port was constructed on the outskirts of Solfete over a millenia ago. At the time it was the largest on Nordar III and considered state of the art. The construction of the facility fueled the economic engine of the city of Solfete and was the key factor in its growth. As time has progressed and the city expanded around the star port, it has fallen behind the time. Without the ability to undertake any major expansions, a new star port is being constructed on the current city outskirts that will once again be the largest on the planet.The C Wing of the Old Star Port has been set aside for capsuleer traffic with advanced and obtrusive security to screen for all kinds of weapons, which will be confiscated and not returned. Savonarola House Guard, specifically drawn from Company L, Aquila Hussars, in dress red uniforms, staff the C Wing.In response to the incident at the gala, each capsuleer guest will be shadowed by a member of the Solfere constabulary. All capsuleer guests, by landing on the planet, give implied consent that their current biological life may be terminated at any time should they not follow local laws.There are on hand luxury stretch ground cars to transport guests from the star port directly to the museum. The Helemete Museum is the oldest in Solfete. Founded by Conte Victor Savonarola over a millennium ago, it has been the public showcase of much of House Savonarola’s collection ever since. The exhibits will rotate over time to keep the museum interesting. In addition to her own collection, the Contessa makes a point to find pieces from around the Empire and-to some chagrin-from without for exhibition on a loan basis. As there are no major events planned, guests are directed to the lobby where they can find the main desk, wait for a guided tour or partake of non-alcoholic teas and coffees at a small cafe. There are also an assortment of pastries and simple baked goods to eat should one wish. There are several exhibits currently showing at the Helemte, ranging from pre spaceflight Amarr paintings to contemporary abstract sculptures. There are two, however of significant note: the Helemete Museum - Jove war and Minmatar Rebellion Exhibit and the Helemete Museum - Viella Sainclar exhibit.

The artist’s biography with a self portrait is displayed along with her biography:Viella Sainclar was born on Tanoo, the capital of the Ammatar Mandate in YC28. As the daughter of Ammatar aristocracy, she was able to attend the prestigious San Matar Art Academy and by YC50 had started to do recruitment posters for the Ammatar Navy. While she never fought in the ‘Vindication Wars’ her older brother did, but unfortunately died in the conflict. A darker tone crept into her work after his death. In YC70, she was commissioned for the promotional materials for the Ammatar production of St. Tetrimon. Following that, almost any theatre production in San Matar featured Viella’s artwork. In YC88, she was retained by Heratio Dahnci for his re imagination of Parchifal, an opera based off the Book of Missions. The Diamond Way production brought the Ammatar artist to the attention many in the Empire.Following Parchifal, Viella broadened from the murals and posters she had been creating and branched out into other areas. She tried her hand at traditional paintings, portraits and landscapes. By YC102, she recused herself from public life and all commissioned works, claiming that “the soul of my art has been lost.” This changed in YC110 with the Minmatar attack. She publicly denounced Ana Utulf and scoffed at her proclamation that the Nefantar’s conversion to the Imperial faith was a staged defection sanctioned at the highest level of the Minmatar tribal structure. She spontaneously painted "FAITHFUL THEN, NOW AND FOREVER" in large red letters on a high rise next to the governor’s mansion. Her first return to painting was a series of ten posters that were donated to the Imperial and Ammatar Navies for recruitment efforts in YC111. Channel MOTD: .This Room features the following description:“Year 23216 was the single most important in the Empire’s history. Between the loss to the Jove and the Minmatar rebellion, the Empire was dealt its first significant blow. The Minmatar rebellion affected every planet on in the Empire with violence everywhere. For art from this year, themes of fear are common.”Around the room are the following pieces:Revolt, by Feredik Trousile is a great example of the ‘slaves in revolt’ genre. This is one of the more tame pieces. Others depict the brutality in the slave revolt in graphic detail. Some paintings in the genre depict the revolting slaves as much more savage than they really did appear, making their outside form reflect the inner brutality that the revolting slaves exhibited.On Guard, by Kirina Sandoval. During the period, every Amarr was constantly on guard against any possible attack. For commoners that could not afford armed retainers, slaver hounds were the second choice. Searching Through the Ruin, by Basel Qui. Qui was a soldier during the rebellion and fought on several different planets and was prolific in sketching scenes. This is from an unknown battlefield where two civilians tried to pick through the ruins to gather what they lost before heading back to safer territory. This scenario would be oft repeated as citizens fled the fighting.Punishment, by Wiston Merdirian. The punishment of slaves that revolted, but were defeated, was harsh. As the year grew on, the measures taken by holders to ensure their safety became more extreme. This painting is of slaves that were executed as an example. Merdirian took his life a few years after, distraught over what he had seen.Untitled, by unknown artist. A rare piece in the collection, this is done by a Minmatar artist. This painting depicts the conditions behind the Minmatar lines, but little else is known.Returned to God, by Sister Yuria Eklebin. There is not a lot of art with regards to the Jove war. There was only one battle before the Minmatar rebellion and the Amarr made peace with the Jove. Still, the Battle of Vak’Atioth is one of the key points in Amarr history. Other pieces of similar themes are also displayed.

Channel MOTD: All Capsuleer guests will land at the Old Star Port.The Old Star Port was constructed on the outskirts of Solfete over a millenia ago. At the time it was the largest on Nordar III and considered state of the art. The construction of the facility fueled the economic engine of the city of Solfete and was the key factor in its growth. As time has progressed and the city expanded around the star port, it has fallen behind the time. Without the ability to undertake any major expansions, a new star port is being constructed on the current city outskirts that will once again be the largest on the planet.The C Wing of the Old Star Port has been set aside for capsuleer traffic with advanced and obtrusive security to screen for all kinds of weapons, which will be confiscated and not returned. Savonarola House Guard, specifically drawn from Company L, Aquila Hussars, in dress red uniforms, staff the C Wing.In response to the incident at the gala, each capsuleer guest will be shadowed by a member of the Solfere constabulary. All capsuleer guests, by landing on the planet, give implied consent that their current biological life may be terminated at any time should they not follow local laws.There are on hand luxury stretch ground cars to transport guests from the star port directly to the museum. The Helemete Museum is the oldest in Solfete. Founded by Conte Victor Savonarola over a millennium ago, it has been the public showcase of much of House Savonarola’s collection ever since. The exhibits will rotate over time to keep the museum interesting. In addition to her own collection, the Contessa makes a point to find pieces from around the Empire and-to some chagrin-from without for exhibition on a loan basis. As there are no major events planned, guests are directed to the lobby where they can find the main desk, wait for a guided tour or partake of non-alcoholic teas and coffees at a small cafe. There are also an assortment of pastries and simple baked goods to eat should one wish. There are several exhibits currently showing at the Helemte, ranging from pre spaceflight Amarr paintings to contemporary abstract sculptures.
