Luna,

The words "I am sorry" are words that we've all uttered since we were children. We use them when we inconvenience others, when we truly hurt someone else. At times, we even use them to assuage our own conscience or to blunt something painful we are about to say.

And that makes them wholely inadequate for what I need to say to you. You who have shown me friendship, compassion, and even some wisdom.

And last night, I lashed out at you. And I know it hurt you. And I regret it. If I could go back in time, I would hold my tongue, keep my discomfort inside.

You didn't need me to gather together all that you wish were different about your Empire, forge it into a point and drive it home. You are already aware of the bad. I know this because I've seen you try to change it, make it better.

And for that, I am sorry.

I have always felt, well, blessed by the fact that I can count Amarrians as my friends. Two of the people who are most important to me are Amarrian. I have found comfort in what your Faith teaches. I have seen the wonders of the Empire's myriad cultures.

But last night, I felt like a silly little Caldari girl playing dressup. I felt like the outsider I am. And I took it out on you.

And for that, I am sorry.

Upon reflection, how our implants and training can be a curse, I may've caused you pain with the first words I spoke. I know Nico can be hard to pin down. And I suspect last night, she made a choice between me and whatever business called for her attention. My cheerful blithering must've been like salt on a raw patch of skin.

And for that, I am sorry, as well.

Please forgive me. You are a friend to me, and I would hate for my words to come between us.

A square parquet dance floor is in the center of the room. The proprietor Vincentus Azizora and attentive wait staff are all baseliners. Charity Black is the sommelier. A Dinner Menu is available. A small ad in the menu refers to the nearby The Shriving Pew as "Serving Spiritual Neeeds since YC 117".A small sign on the bar says "Proudly serving Lodovica's Vitae"
