RP - Shalee's Cathedral (Luna's Point of View)

At the foot of the coastal path, a beautiful bay with white sandy beach allows Manor regulars, and their guests, a private and serene location to take a dip in the warm water.The house, surrounded by acres of lush gardens and tropical palm-trees, boasts a terrace bar lit by torches; flickering with naked flame. ((image here))From the landing pad, visitors are escorted to the terrace after having their weapons confiscated by the privately employed security detail. The terrace is scattered with tables and chairs, chaise lounges, rockers, and several outdoor sofas. Drinks and food are served upon request by a dedicated team of smartly dressed servers. The terrace is also fitted with several holodrones and a retractable roof that is used during the rainy season. A three tiered water fountain sits directly in the centre of the terrace - the base having been decorated with floating flowers, and is home to several species of Koi.Visitors are allowed to stroll the gardens and visit the nearby waterfall, the menagerie, and the public rooms of the Manor house. Overnight accommodation is also available in the Guest House, which is located opposite the house, near the menagerie.

Weapons are taken from all visitors except members of In Exile, though careless use of such is still not permitted. The main area off the entrance is a large two-floored lounge area with many running neon lights and accents that can be changed to any color, from a blood red to an Amarrian gold. On the ground floor is a middling sized stage as well as small booths, some looking towards the stage while others are facing out the large holographic windows that show outside traffic in real time.Reached by a neon-light lined spiral starcase, the loft area has a typical bar, with a long counter flanked on one side by a row of bar stools. From here the stage can be observed as well as some of the booths for the more voyeuristic. The bar is always kept well stocked with liqours from around the cluster, and are provided free of charge to all visitors. A low thrumming music is always playing quietly in the background to provide atmosphere but still allow conversation to take place.A door beneath loft as well as a door beside the bar lead into further Exile Isle, to such places as the barracks, offices, armories, and other corp-only locations.

Low music plays songs from around the galaxy. The soft blue lighting is easy on the eyes, but still light enough to see what you're doing and where you're going. The shelves are filled haphazardly with bottles of spirits, clearly labeled. Luna's name is by the spiced wine and other vintages from around New Eden, with a few religious texts leaning against the bottles. The whiskeys shelf label has been taped over by Freya and Lucas, each bidding for ownership. There is a shelf with rum on it, with a fresh label reading 'Alexi'. Above that, is Nicoletta's shelf, with juice mixes and exotic wine, with a few bottles of absinthe here and there. Cocktail mixers and a jar of little umbrellas wrapped with a piece of tape reading 'Gottin's Dont Touch!!' is on her shelf. There is a shelf with a pair of bottles, one full of Absynth and the other full of Chocolate Irish Cream and etched "Lady Anise Tig'res of the Khanid Kingdom." A long line of bottles of Quafe are on a shelf with a "DON'T TOUCH!" sign by Rhoxy. Johanes has a shelf with brandies and cognac and a lone bottle of smurgleblaster. At the foot of the coastal path, a beautiful bay with white sandy beach allows Manor regulars, and their guests, a private and serene location to take a dip in the warm water.The house, surrounded by acres of lush gardens and tropical palm-trees, boasts a terrace bar lit by torches; flickering with naked flame. Channel MOTD: Hoarfrost clings to the raised lines and protrusions on the hull, a stark contrast to the dark hull. An ancient looking bridge spans the gulf from loading bay to the ship; a line of hover carts await to take visitors across the bridge. As the cart gets underway, the following music can be heard in the distances while leering gargoyles along the bridge observe the cart's progress.Inside, the lighting is dim and black curtains line the walls of the greeting room. Each cart is met by a young woman dressed in a wine-colored uniform, a raven clutching a rose in its beak the only emblem visible. The valet welcomes each arrival and offers to escort them to the ballroom.The way winds through dark corridors, the only light coming from flckering torches (on closer inspection, the flame is holographic). The valet stops in front of a large iron door and produces what looks like an antiquated key and inserts it into a grinning skull lock. With a twist, the sound of a bolt disengaging can be heard. Without a word, the valet pushes open the door and steps aside with a small bow to the guests. A feminine voice from within calls out "Welcome to my abode. Enter freely and leave some of the bliss you bring."Entering, the room is quite large, the floor black marble. The wall opposite the entrance has gold-framed full length mirrors running the length, given the feeling of immense vastness. Three grand chandeliers hang overhead, bathing the entire room in a warm, intimate lighting.To one side is a long table with high back chairs, enough for all in attendance; waitresses and waiters quietly await in the shadows to serve any who wish to partake of food and/or drink. The table cloth is a dark maroon, the chairs black. Glassware appears to be frosted crystal.There are two other doorways that leave the main hall, both with a black plaque with the lettering outlined in frost: the first is the Salon and the other to the Observatory

Overhead, black clouds slowly part to let the light of the pale full moon illuminate the area; a ring of blackened trees, devoid of leaves form a perimeter around the clearing, their trunks and branches twisted. Stars and constellations can be seen beyond the pale light of the full moon.

Channel MOTD: Hoarfrost clings to the raised lines and protrusions on the hull, a stark contrast to the dark hull. An ancient looking bridge spans the gulf from loading bay to the ship; a line of hover carts await to take visitors across the bridge. As the cart gets underway, the following music can be heard in the distances while leering gargoyles along the bridge observe the cart's progress.Inside, the lighting is dim and black curtains line the walls of the greeting room. Each cart is met by a young woman dressed in a wine-colored uniform, a raven clutching a rose in its beak the only emblem visible. The valet welcomes each arrival and offers to escort them to the ballroom.The way winds through dark corridors, the only light coming from flckering torches (on closer inspection, the flame is holographic). The valet stops in front of a large iron door and produces what looks like an antiquated key and inserts it into a grinning skull lock. With a twist, the sound of a bolt disengaging can be heard. Without a word, the valet pushes open the door and steps aside with a small bow to the guests. A feminine voice from within calls out "Welcome to my abode. Enter freely and leave some of the bliss you bring."Entering, the room is quite large, the floor black marble. The wall opposite the entrance has gold-framed full length mirrors running the length, given the feeling of immense vastness. Three grand chandeliers hang overhead, bathing the entire room in a warm, intimate lighting.To one side is a long table with high back chairs, enough for all in attendance; waitresses and waiters quietly await in the shadows to serve any who wish to partake of food and/or drink. The table cloth is a dark maroon, the chairs black. I have spoken with Reginald Sakakibara; I have considerable suspicions about what I was told.

First, he claims that he interrogated Vlad Cetes, with Lady Lianne's permission, and that the entire session was recorded. However, as you will see from the attached holotape, there is a gap of 18:47 midway through the interrogation.

The only logical conclusions are that he deactivated it himself, that an unknown third-party deactivated the feed, or that every security system and backup in that room failed simultaneously.

I quote from the record of my interview:

And later:

His suggestion of motive for Tigerfish Torpedo to murder his guards was flimsy, at best: he claims that Mr. Torpedo was jealous of the attention he was recieving from Lady Lianne.

He further suggested that Mr. Torpedo's disagreement with the Cathedral's security arrangments drove him to kill, to force the removal of Mr. Sakakibara and his guards. I find this claim highly suspect, for three reasons:

1) The Cathedral would be left unguarded; to the best of my awareness, Mr. Torpedo does not have a sizeable force to replace Mr. Sakakibara's guardsmen. It is, in my opinion, beyond comprehension that Mr. Torpedo would risk sabotaging his own project.

2) Tigerfish Torpedo already has complete access to the Cathedral whenever he wishes. Additionally, to the best of my awareness, Mr. Torpedo was not even on the premises at the time of the incident.

3) Mr. Torpedo is simply not that petty.

I do not know to what extent Mr. Sakakibara is involved, but I am certain that he was involved.

As I have been kindly copied on this and the prior mail, I will take it as an invitation to reluctantly insert my "two isk" if I may based on my experience as a Paladin of the Theology Council and investigator.

I would urge extreme caution before accusing a Holder of a crime or complicity thereof based solely circumstantial evidence, e.g.  the gap in the  interview, parties' motive, and the tampered videotape.    There is an old expression, that when one seeks to shoot a king, one must sure of a direct, killing blow.

I do not see any evidence sufficient to issue a warrant as to Holder Reginald Sakibara .  Unless he personally held the camera taking the video, I do not see that there is any direct evidence - yet - of any malfeasance on his part.  At most, it does appear - at least - that he may have a mole in his organization if his organization was responsible for the interview tape and the security tape.  Consequently, I would recommend a new organization take over security and I authorize you to offer your services, and Kamerias, for such.

I also do not see any evidence sufficient to issue a warrant as to Mr. Cetes.  Mr. Cetes does not appear to have  been cooperative and was in the vicinity which suggests further investigation as to him is warranted.  Again, however, I do not see any evidence sufficient to warrant even the issuance of a warrant (unless HE was the issuer of the tampered videotape).  How fruitful that may be, I do not know since he is a robot and cannot be compelled to speak (other than, perhaps, being bribed to do so, but then how do you know it is the truth).

At most, it does appear that more than reasonable doubt has been established as to Captain Torpedo that charges cannot be sustained.  It is extremely unliely Captain Torpedo is  the murderer given both his lack of motive and the fact that the videotape of the attack appears to have been tampered with.  To complete at least that aspect, however, I believe he must be interviewed to see if he has an alibi.

Periodically there are cross-hatched sections that serve to store wine bottles horizontally. The temperature is cool. There are multiple tables and booths with sumptious velvet red cushions. Stained glass lanterns and lights providing soft lighting. Each table has a wine & beverage list with a range of wines, ales, liquors and non-alcoholic drinks such as tea. A simple menu is also on each table that indicates that complimentary bread and assorted cheeses and fruits are provided to those who order by the bottle. I have reviewd the Terrace security footage.

Vlad Cetes confronted Reginald Sakakibara regarding the unexpected appearance of his sister. Words were exchanged, and Mr. Sakakibara threatened to testify that Cetes was responsible for the death of his guards.

Shortly thereafter, Mr. Sakakibara drew a weapon, citing his authority to destroy Cetes, given by Tigerfish Torpedo. Mr. Cetes then retaliated with a knife attack, wounding Mr. Sakakibara. A second such attack killed him.

It should be noted, for the record, that Mr. Sakakibara did not fire until it was clear that he would be unable to detain Cetes physically.

Cetes was apparently unescorted, and in violation of an exclusion order, and the security forces assigned to the Terrace refused to comply with Mr. Sakakibara's demand that Cetes be arrested, stating that they 'do not take orders from' him.

I will continue my investigation.
