Luna's Private Quarters at the Lamp
After you descend in an elevator, you enter a lush space. Warm rays descend from above, as if lit by a sun on a warm sunny day. A White Arbor stands at the entrance with a rambling climbing Blush Pink Colored Rose Bush entwined along its arch. At the base of the arbor are the Yellow blooms of the Forsythia bush. Should you enter under the arch, you entered into an enclosed garden surrounded by walls on four sides. A path of Grey Stepping Stones leads through economy sized beds of Vegetables and Tubers and culinary herbs that ring interior. At the end of the beds are small trelleses to allow for Grape Vines to wind and grow. The center of the garden is a bed of brightly colored flowers for cuttings surrounding a Statute of Empress Jamyl I. Someone has been weaving a crown of roses that has been placed on the statue. At two difference places in the garden are marble benches for rest, contemplation and quiet talks. The walls are concealed by a riot of color and a lush, tangled cottage garden that seems to stretch forever, a mix of careful planting and holos. At the end of the garden is a cottage with Lunarisse's private library of antique books and a bedroom.
[ 2016.06.28 01:16:35 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote is quietly reading at the "porch" next to her library and bedroom.
[ 2016.06.28 01:17:21 ] Aria Jenneth > /emote steps from the elevator, and squints up at the intense light shining down from above, then breaks into an almost childish grin*
[ 2016.06.28 01:18:35 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote calls out "Over here Aria"
[ 2016.06.28 01:18:56 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote enters. She's in a red dress with gold accents and a Sarum pin on her left breast. It's clear she's more than a little apprehensive, and in awe at the surroundings. She's never been here and it's quite elaborate. She never even knew.
[ 2016.06.28 01:19:24 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote rises, placing her book into her rocking chair. "And come over here too Ali." She smiles.
[ 2016.06.28 01:20:01 ] Aria Jenneth > *starts to head towards the Directrix, then double takes as Ali exits the elevator, and bows formally before scurrying over to Luna's side*
[ 2016.06.28 01:20:31 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote indicates to the chairs on the porch and the rocking swing. "Room for all. I have some lemonade and cookies too."
[ 2016.06.28 01:20:40 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote indicates to a small table in the middle.
[ 2016.06.28 01:20:45 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote makes her way over and kneels. "Directrix."
[ 2016.06.28 01:20:45 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > of the porch
[ 2016.06.28 01:21:13 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > "Ali, get up. No need to bow to me." she says softly. "Welcome back."
[ 2016.06.28 01:22:10 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote twitches nervously as she stands. "Thank you, ma'am." She says in neutral toned Amarrish.
[ 2016.06.28 01:22:12 ] Aria Jenneth > ... *beams quietly at Ali (apparently her delight at seeing her friend back in the corp hasn't worn off yet)*
[ 2016.06.28 01:22:22 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote gives Ali a hug after she stands, then steps back "Please sit," she repeats.
[ 2016.06.28 01:23:42 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote returns the hug stiffly. She nods and sits down, smoothing out her dress as she does.
[ 2016.06.28 01:23:51 ] Aria Jenneth > *quietly settles herself near Luna*
[ 2016.06.28 01:24:31 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > "First things first..." she looks at Ali "How are the children?"
[ 2016.06.28 01:26:47 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote takes a moment. "Physically, they are well. Hasani is settling in very well. She's taken to life on Sarum Prime with an unbound enthusiasm. And she loves shopping. Thank God I am wealthy."
[ 2016.06.28 01:28:07 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote giggles softly. "Good."
[ 2016.06.28 01:29:27 ] Alizabeth Vea > "Din still has some troubles." she glances to Aria and then back to Lunarisse. "Because he's older, he's had some experiences. And, genetic testing shows that he's half Sebiestor. So, I've set him up his own sort of workshop and a place to tinker."
[ 2016.06.28 01:30:05 ] Alizabeth Vea > "But there's still a layer there that I don't know if I've reached through."
[ 2016.06.28 01:30:11 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote nods slowly. "Good. If he is able to pursue his own vocations suitable to him it will help him adjust and settle down. Still..." she frowns.
[ 2016.06.28 01:30:39 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > "I wish there was a former slave we could have him talk to. I don't think the Lieutenant Kerner is the one and I don't know many others..."
[ 2016.06.28 01:31:02 ] Alizabeth Vea > "I tried talking to Lt. Kerner. Bluntly, she was extremely unhelpful."
[ 2016.06.28 01:31:25 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote glances back to Aria. "I assume that what I say will not be repeated?" and back to Luna.
[ 2016.06.28 01:31:59 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > "It won't be." She looks at Aria. "Consider Aria my shadow. What is said here, stays here."
[ 2016.06.28 01:32:17 ] Aria Jenneth > *nodnods*
[ 2016.06.28 01:32:31 ] Alizabeth Vea > "It is my utmost desire to make sure that Din doesn't wind up like Lt. Kernher."
[ 2016.06.28 01:32:39 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote says softly "A good desire."
[ 2016.06.28 01:32:47 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > "I am hoping.. we got him young enough..."
[ 2016.06.28 01:33:12 ] Alizabeth Vea > "So do I." she says, almost at tears.
[ 2016.06.28 01:33:41 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote looks at Ali. "I'll help anyway i can."
[ 2016.06.28 01:33:47 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote pauses " You can.. have him visit the Society and show him not all Amarr are monsters"
[ 2016.06.28 01:33:58 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote nods.
[ 2016.06.28 01:34:43 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote looks uncertain as if she wants to say something, but is mulling over whether to.
[ 2016.06.28 01:35:20 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote remains quiet.
[ 2016.06.28 01:36:27 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > I still remember their mother.
[ 2016.06.28 01:36:35 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > She.. still haunts my dreams.
[ 2016.06.28 01:36:54 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > I.. think I am .. putting names to some faces... now. *she says softly*
[ 2016.06.28 01:37:00 ] Alizabeth Vea > "So do I." Ali says softly and a tear falls down her cheek.
[ 2016.06.28 01:37:47 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote looks at Luna with a head canted to the side.
[ 2016.06.28 01:38:01 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > I.. am going to ask the Lieutenant.. who is our.. part time Librarian now by the way...
[ 2016.06.28 01:38:13 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > to image what i remember and try to match them in a database.
[ 2016.06.28 01:38:41 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote stays quiet.
[ 2016.06.28 01:38:58 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote says a little coolly "I want to be sure none of them survived the bombardment. If they did.. I want justice done even if delayed"
[ 2016.06.28 01:39:29 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote balls her hands into tight fists and nods firmly.
[ 2016.06.28 01:40:04 ] Aria Jenneth > *Aria's lips curve upwards, ever so slightly, at the edges*
[ 2016.06.28 01:40:09 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote exhales. "I am sorry to mention that... but you are.. their mother know. You need to know if any of them are still out there and could recognize the children"
[ 2016.06.28 01:40:20 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > "I will let you know if we find anything."
[ 2016.06.28 01:41:18 ] Alizabeth Vea > "If they are recognized? What's the level of danger?"
[ 2016.06.28 01:41:34 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > "I don't know. I guess it depends on who."
[ 2016.06.28 01:41:49 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > they have been lawfully freed
[ 2016.06.28 01:41:54 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > so i am more concerned about.. emotional danger.
[ 2016.06.28 01:42:27 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote nods again. It's pretty clear from her expression what Ali's response to danger to her children will be.
[ 2016.06.28 01:43:24 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote glances at Ali "As for the Society, i recall your mail when you left. I trust your active obligations to the Imperium are over for now?" She adds "Not that I thought you'd ever act against our interests while with us?"
[ 2016.06.28 01:44:22 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote did shift abruptly on topics.
[ 2016.06.28 01:44:28 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote takes a breath. "They are over for good," she says quietly.
[ 2016.06.28 01:45:08 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote nods. "Then I hope you can be with us for Good.. or at least until God shows your path and talents are needed elsewhere." She says softly "Hopefully a long time from now"
[ 2016.06.28 01:45:49 ] Alizabeth Vea > "I take it I have been fired from being the Sabatine."
[ 2016.06.28 01:46:03 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > "I would like you to focus on your duties with the Drifters. I ..am not sure we need a Satellium given that we have several competent FC's now." She mutters "besides, i think the position is cursed"
[ 2016.06.28 01:46:52 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote looks at Ali "Not fired, simple retasked. I want us to keep pushing the Drifters and take the fight to them so they don't bring the fight to us"
[ 2016.06.28 01:46:57 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote just nods.
[ 2016.06.28 01:48:33 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote says "Do you need to .. talk to me about anything Ali, or .. have we covered matters?"
[ 2016.06.28 01:49:24 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote tries to find the words. Unsuccessfuly.
[ 2016.06.28 01:50:59 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote gives Ali an encouraging smile.
[ 2016.06.28 01:51:01 ] Aria Jenneth > ...? *cants her head a few degrees to the right*
[ 2016.06.28 01:52:14 ] Alizabeth Vea > "I . . . I am sorry." she says, looking down.
[ 2016.06.28 01:52:43 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote says firmly "There is nothing to be sorry about."
[ 2016.06.28 01:54:58 ] Alizabeth Vea > "I chose the Imperium over you. Over the Empire. Over the corp. Over Lady Newelle. Over . . . " she swallows. "Over my children."
[ 2016.06.28 01:55:21 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote nods slowly. She ponders for a moment, as if choosing her words.
[ 2016.06.28 01:55:40 ] Alizabeth Vea > "And when I was gone, you were nearly killed."
[ 2016.06.28 01:57:02 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > "Well." she sighs. "On that point, I am not terribly sure you would have made a difference. it.. wasn;t in space." She looks at Ali. "But on the first issue" -c-
[ 2016.06.28 01:57:06 ] Aria Jenneth > *Aria's gaze flinches off to the right. It's several seconds before she can look at Ali again*
[ 2016.06.28 01:58:37 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > It's.. an aporism, cliche, but it can be true,. Sometimes... you don’t know what you have until it’s gone. I... pray.. hope.. that this ... experience... is helpful in that... you now know. *softly*
[ 2016.06.28 01:59:15 ] Alizabeth Vea > "I didn't expect you to take me back."
[ 2016.06.28 02:01:56 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote nods slowly. "You showed integrity in how you left. I can respect that." She looks at Ali "I assume by your apoligy that is a promise you won't make that choice again?"
[ 2016.06.28 02:02:30 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote nods slowly, the shame of her failure clear on her face.
[ 2016.06.28 02:05:06 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > "Then, please. You are back." She looks at Ali ""Face the enemy as a solid wall For faith is your armor And through it, the enemy will find no breach"
[ 2016.06.28 02:06:37 ] Alizabeth Vea > "Normally, this is where you would make me drink the tea." It's a failed attempt at a joke
[ 2016.06.28 02:07:03 ] Aria Jenneth > *winces ever so slightly*
[ 2016.06.28 02:07:52 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote looks at Ali, then Aria "Enough with the tea" she says wryly.
[ 2016.06.28 02:08:37 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote nods.
[ 2016.06.28 02:08:47 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote frowns. "My pardon,, I need to meet with someone else now." She sighs. "A Directrix's job is never done." She looks at Aria and Ali "Feel free to have .. some Lemonade and chat you two"
[ 2016.06.28 02:08:51 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote stresses lemonade.
[ 2016.06.28 02:09:05 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote rises with a slight twinkle in her eye.
[ 2016.06.28 02:09:18 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote rises as well and bows deeply in the Caldari style.
[ 2016.06.28 02:09:26 ] Aria Jenneth > ... are you ... sure you don't want me to come with, Directrix? *also rises*
[ 2016.06.28 02:10:01 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > "No.. it's fine, Aria." she smiles. Take some time off "Unless Ali needs to get back to her children" she looks at Ali.
[ 2016.06.28 02:10:11 ] Aria Jenneth > ... *nods*
[ 2016.06.28 02:10:19 ] Lunarisse Aspenstar > /emote exits.
[ 2016.06.28 02:11:02 ] Aria Jenneth > ... will you stay a bit, Ali?
[ 2016.06.28 02:11:10 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote more or less falls back into the seat. She nods weakly.
[ 2016.06.28 02:11:48 ] Aria Jenneth > *pours two glasses of lemonade (the first time she's seemed to actually acknowledge that the stuff existed), and passes one to Ali*
[ 2016.06.28 02:12:37 ] Alizabeth Vea > "Thank you." She switches to her native Caldari.
[ 2016.06.28 02:13:29 ] Aria Jenneth > *nodnods* You're welcome. *she's also switched to Caldari-- somewhat accented*
[ 2016.06.28 02:14:15 ] Alizabeth Vea > "She's a better CEO than I have any right to. The Mittani would not have accepted me back."
[ 2016.06.28 02:14:45 ] Aria Jenneth > Well ... I think it's fair to say that the Directrix is a little ... different from The Mittani, Ali.
[ 2016.06.28 02:14:54 ] Alizabeth Vea > "She is."
[ 2016.06.28 02:15:26 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote sips her drink.
[ 2016.06.28 02:16:16 ] Aria Jenneth > *faint smile* She is ... patient, though. Especially considering she has two Caldari to deal with who keep offering to kill themselves.
[ 2016.06.28 02:17:08 ] Aria Jenneth > ... I don't think I've ... met an Amarrian yet who responds very well to that.
[ 2016.06.28 02:17:46 ] Aria Jenneth > *she sips her own lemonade*
[ 2016.06.28 02:18:05 ] Aria Jenneth > ... I didn't ... realize you felt so bad, about going to help your friends.
[ 2016.06.28 02:19:31 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote nods. "No, they don't seem to understand our honor culture." Ali pauses. "I hated having to choose between them. It was horrible. One of the worst decisions I had to make."
[ 2016.06.28 02:19:59 ] Alizabeth Vea > "The only thing that I think could be worse would be to have to chose one of my children to live."
[ 2016.06.28 02:20:16 ] Aria Jenneth > ... *nodnods*
[ 2016.06.28 02:21:25 ] Aria Jenneth > ... For ... me ... I think if PY-RE raised a call for the Falcons to return ... I'd probably have found it hard to stay away. If it happened ... a little earlier, anyway.
[ 2016.06.28 02:21:53 ] Alizabeth Vea > "Yeah. You seem to have settled in very well to being her retainer."
[ 2016.06.28 02:22:13 ] Aria Jenneth > ... *nodnods* I did make a promise to Des, but ...
[ 2016.06.28 02:23:20 ] Alizabeth Vea > "We've both made promises and oathes to multiple people. I pray they never conflict."
[ 2016.06.28 02:23:32 ] Aria Jenneth > *nodnods*
[ 2016.06.28 02:23:48 ] Alizabeth Vea > "And yours."
[ 2016.06.28 02:25:06 ] Aria Jenneth > Are you ... still bound to the Lady Admiral at all?
[ 2016.06.28 02:25:22 ] Alizabeth Vea > "I am."
[ 2016.06.28 02:25:47 ] Aria Jenneth > ... I'm glad. Well. Sort of. She scares me.
[ 2016.06.28 02:25:52 ] Aria Jenneth > ... you knew that, though.
[ 2016.06.28 02:25:57 ] Alizabeth Vea > "Still?"
[ 2016.06.28 02:26:14 ] Aria Jenneth > I ... haven't seen much of her since you left, Ali.
[ 2016.06.28 02:26:42 ] Alizabeth Vea > "She's been very busy with her holding. Apparently being suddenly elevated to a Holder is a lot of work."
[ 2016.06.28 02:26:57 ] Aria Jenneth > I'm less angry with her husband, but ... I'm not sure that'll translate to feeling less like I'm about to be put before a firing squad, when dealing with her.
[ 2016.06.28 02:27:49 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote frowns. "She can be intimidating. I will give you that. I won't deny that joining her team terrified me."
[ 2016.06.28 02:29:35 ] Alizabeth Vea > "But she's not going to have you shot."
[ 2016.06.28 02:29:43 ] Aria Jenneth > It's ... not that I feel like she'd actually have me shot, Ali. It's ... more that, if she decided to really put the effort into it, she could pretty easily unmake my life here.
[ 2016.06.28 02:30:18 ] Alizabeth Vea > "I don't think she will."
[ 2016.06.28 02:30:31 ] Alizabeth Vea > "And you have a friend in her court."
[ 2016.06.28 02:30:54 ] Aria Jenneth > In ... principle, I agree. Um. I might sort of have two. Aldrith is ...
[ 2016.06.28 02:31:00 ] Aria Jenneth > *she sighs*
[ 2016.06.28 02:31:50 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote waits. "He seems to look at me askance. Lady Newelle regards me high than he does, I think."
[ 2016.06.28 02:33:12 ] Aria Jenneth > He complimented me at the one-year mark for not having "done too terribly." Des snarked at him for extolling me with faint praise.
[ 2016.06.28 02:33:51 ] Alizabeth Vea > "We're always going to be outsiders."
[ 2016.06.28 02:35:07 ] Aria Jenneth > ... I know.
[ 2016.06.28 02:35:44 ] Aria Jenneth > I don't mind that so ... much, though. There's ... no place I could go, where ... that wouldn't be true.
[ 2016.06.28 02:35:55 ] Alizabeth Vea > "Same."
[ 2016.06.28 02:36:39 ] Alizabeth Vea > "Sometimes, I wonder if Din and Hasani would not be better off with someone else adopting them. Someone that wasn't an outsider."
[ 2016.06.28 02:40:16 ] Aria Jenneth > ... well ... but ...
[ 2016.06.28 02:40:33 ] Aria Jenneth > ... the insiders seem to think you're a pretty good candidate for the job, Ali.
[ 2016.06.28 02:41:27 ] Aria Jenneth > ... and if the children are growing up ... attached to capsuleer culture, they're ... inevitably going to be outsiders, too, a little bit.
[ 2016.06.28 02:41:39 ] Aria Jenneth > It doesn't have to be a bad thing.
[ 2016.06.28 02:42:11 ] Alizabeth Vea > "There are plenty of other people that could have adopted them that were not cfapsuleers. They could have had a normal life, well, as normal as possible given the preconditions."
[ 2016.06.28 02:43:47 ] Aria Jenneth > *quietly* I think the choice was pretty much ... to create exceptions, or leave them where you found them, Ali. And there was no way that last was going to happen.
[ 2016.06.28 02:44:08 ] Alizabeth Vea > "True."
[ 2016.06.28 02:46:59 ] Aria Jenneth > ... so ...
[ 2016.06.28 02:47:07 ] Alizabeth Vea > "So." she sighs.
[ 2016.06.28 02:47:14 ] Aria Jenneth > ... exceptions exist. Best help them be happy as exceptions.
[ 2016.06.28 02:47:53 ] Alizabeth Vea > "I do everything I can. Everything."
[ 2016.06.28 02:50:32 ] Aria Jenneth > ... maybe you shouldn't? ... I don't mean that you should become careless, Ali, but ...
[ 2016.06.28 02:50:49 ] Alizabeth Vea > "But what?"
[ 2016.06.28 02:51:36 ] Aria Jenneth > ... you're a really intense person, you know? There needs to be ... room for them, and their ... lives. You don't have to build those for them, completely.
[ 2016.06.28 02:52:38 ] Alizabeth Vea > "I know. And I do give them space. Lt. Kernher actually was the one that pointed it out to me. WIth Din and tinkering-I know that's cliche, being half Sebiestor and mechanically minded, but still."
[ 2016.06.28 02:53:05 ] Alizabeth Vea > "She said that it would have to be something on his own, unsupervised, for him to discover."
[ 2016.06.28 02:53:29 ] Aria Jenneth > *nodnods*
[ 2016.06.28 02:53:51 ] Aria Jenneth > ... The LT is ... she does have some useful thoughts. I think most people do.
[ 2016.06.28 02:54:14 ] Aria Jenneth > But ... Yeah. I can see why you ... wouldn't want the children to grow up seeing the world in a similar way.
[ 2016.06.28 02:54:18 ] Alizabeth Vea > "She did have some help. But her attitude. She said I should have left them as slaves."
[ 2016.06.28 02:54:39 ] Aria Jenneth > Well-- she's told me I'd be better off as one, so ...
[ 2016.06.28 02:54:47 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote sighs.
[ 2016.06.28 02:54:55 ] Aria Jenneth > For that matter, she thinks she'd be better off as one.
[ 2016.06.28 02:55:14 ] Alizabeth Vea > "Probably."
[ 2016.06.28 02:56:33 ] Alizabeth Vea > "She's so damaged, it makes me worry about Din. A lot."
[ 2016.06.28 02:56:49 ] Aria Jenneth > Except ... well. I guess she also doesn't ... seem to view the approaching advent of Empress Catiz with joy.
[ 2016.06.28 02:57:13 ] Alizabeth Vea > "Makes two of us. At least she bears no personal responsibility for it."
[ 2016.06.28 02:58:57 ] Aria Jenneth > ... more ... specifically, she seems to have reversed herself on ... whether slavery's useful as an institution.
[ 2016.06.28 02:59:12 ] Alizabeth Vea > "What?
[ 2016.06.28 02:59:46 ] Alizabeth Vea > "*
[ 2016.06.28 03:00:05 ] Aria Jenneth > ... well, if the Amarr Empire has grown liberal and wayward it can't very well lift slaves up to God, can it?
[ 2016.06.28 03:00:23 ] Alizabeth Vea > "I suppose that makes a perverse bit of sense."
[ 2016.06.28 03:00:26 ] Aria Jenneth > It's part of her whole view of the world as a ... place falling into darkness and corruption.
[ 2016.06.28 03:01:01 ] Aria Jenneth > Now she thinks slaves have to be saved from the ... sinister influence of the Merchant Empress.
[ 2016.06.28 03:01:24 ] Alizabeth Vea > "The Merchant Empress. Is that what people are calling her?"
[ 2016.06.28 03:01:42 ] Aria Jenneth > That's ... her term.
[ 2016.06.28 03:02:16 ] Alizabeth Vea > "I see."
[ 2016.06.28 03:02:23 ] Aria Jenneth > ... so ... we'll see whether it catches on. It'll probably be something her enemies call her from time to time.
[ 2016.06.28 03:03:17 ] Alizabeth Vea > "This is a level of politics I don't even want to get involved in."
[ 2016.06.28 03:05:08 ] Aria Jenneth > *nodnods*
[ 2016.06.28 03:05:14 ] Aria Jenneth > *and sips her lemonade*
[ 2016.06.28 03:07:01 ] Alizabeth Vea > "It's not for us outsiders."
[ 2016.06.28 03:07:33 ] Aria Jenneth > ... I kind of like getting to watch, though!
[ 2016.06.28 03:07:44 ] Alizabeth Vea > "It can be interesting, yes."
[ 2016.06.28 03:12:55 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote finishes her lemonade and pours herself a new glass. "What I really need is a girlfriend."
[ 2016.06.28 03:15:52 ] Aria Jenneth > ... do you have ... anyone in mind?
[ 2016.06.28 03:16:28 ] Alizabeth Vea > "I do not. There was one PIE officer, but . . . I don't actually know her. She just caught my eye."
[ 2016.06.28 03:18:11 ] Aria Jenneth > ... Um. Not Laerisse?
[ 2016.06.28 03:18:39 ] Alizabeth Vea > "No. Given my children's heritage, she is Ni-Kunni."
[ 2016.06.28 03:19:00 ] Aria Jenneth > Oh ... hm.
[ 2016.06.28 03:20:48 ] Alizabeth Vea > "But, there are other Ni-Kunni in Amarr."
[ 2016.06.28 03:21:05 ] Alizabeth Vea > "And if that ends badly, I could just date Arrendis."
[ 2016.06.28 03:21:41 ] Aria Jenneth > *smiles a little* I do ... like her.
[ 2016.06.28 03:21:51 ] Alizabeth Vea > "Oh? You've met Arra?"
[ 2016.06.28 03:22:07 ] Aria Jenneth > Um. Not ... so much in person, but ...
[ 2016.06.28 03:22:27 ] Aria Jenneth > She was kind of the person who got me thinking of Goonswarm as ... maybe something interesting, instead of ... well ...
[ 2016.06.28 03:22:37 ] Alizabeth Vea > "A bunch of lunatics?"
[ 2016.06.28 03:22:59 ] Aria Jenneth > ... I'm not sure that would have done it justice, but ... kind of, yeah.
[ 2016.06.28 03:24:06 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote nods. "There are good people there. Reallly. They stick together and tried to make civilization in nullsec."
[ 2016.06.28 03:24:46 ] Aria Jenneth > ... That's why I started to think they seemed interesting.
[ 2016.06.28 03:25:41 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote nods. "I still believe in them. The frontiers of civilization are often messy."
[ 2016.06.28 03:26:19 ] Aria Jenneth > ... yeah.
[ 2016.06.28 03:26:43 ] Aria Jenneth > Well ... I hope they focus more on the ... "civilization" side of things than on the "revenge" side.
[ 2016.06.28 03:27:08 ] Aria Jenneth > ... revenge isn't ... a very productive impulse, I don't ... think.
[ 2016.06.28 03:27:13 ] Alizabeth Vea > "I do too. But I wouldn't hope too much."
[ 2016.06.28 03:28:25 ] Aria Jenneth > That's ... a little bit of a pity. Oh, well.
[ 2016.06.28 03:28:37 ] Aria Jenneth > *she finishes her lemonade*
[ 2016.06.28 03:29:32 ] Alizabeth Vea > "Anyways. I should get home, make sure everything is okay." she stands. "It's good to see you again. Hopefully you don't think too much less of me for leaving."
[ 2016.06.28 03:30:30 ] Aria Jenneth > *quietly* ... I was a little more okay with this method, actually, Ali.
[ 2016.06.28 03:30:52 ] Alizabeth Vea > "What do you mean?"
[ 2016.06.28 03:30:59 ] Aria Jenneth > The ... previous time you decided to leave, you did it with a pistol, so ...
[ 2016.06.28 03:31:08 ] Alizabeth Vea > "Ah."
[ 2016.06.28 03:31:41 ] Aria Jenneth > *she smiles a little* I can't really object to someone wanting to help her friends.
[ 2016.06.28 03:32:05 ] Aria Jenneth > After all ... that's pretty much why I'm here.
[ 2016.06.28 03:32:24 ] Aria Jenneth > ... well ... or ... that's one reason.
[ 2016.06.28 03:32:44 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote nods. "Sometime later, you'll have to catch me up on Mr. Onzo. Hopefully you're still together?"
[ 2016.06.28 03:33:11 ] Aria Jenneth > *she rises* ... yeah. We haven't ... seen too much of each other since the ... fishing trip, though.
[ 2016.06.28 03:33:56 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote winces. "Well, you should make the time, eh?" Ali bows. "Have a good night, Aria."
[ 2016.06.28 03:34:27 ] Aria Jenneth > ... you also, suuolo. *she bows in turn, in Amarrian fashion, a little lower than Ali did*
[ 2016.06.28 03:35:27 ] Alizabeth Vea > /emote smiles and heads out.
[ 2016.06.28 03:37:34 ] Aria Jenneth > *takes a cookie, and heads for the elevator herself shortly thereafter*
